OUR HISTORY

Heights Netball Club was founded in the early 1960s by Thelma Wilke. Thelma started the club to keep the young women living in social housing in Heidelberg Heights active and healthy.

 

The Club relocated to Fitzroy in the early 1990s. Our community now includes families living in Melbourne’s inner north. Our club provides a nurturing environment for players to develop their netball skills, build friendships, and instil a lifelong passion for regular exercise. Thelma’s legacy lives on!

We are a community club run by volunteers. Our fun, family-based club caters for a range of ages and abilities in a welcoming team environment. We field teams at both a junior and senior levels. Senior members can choose to play socially or at a more competitive premier league level.
